What this site is

The Clear Sum provides free calculators covering common UK money questions: take-home pay, redundancy pay, maternity and paternity pay, stamp duty, pension withdrawal tax, notice and holiday entitlement, and compound interest.

Not advice

Every figure on this site is an estimate based on published statutory rates and standard assumptions. It is not financial, legal, tax or employment advice, and it doesn't account for your full personal circumstances — an unusual tax code, benefits in kind, multiple income sources or a non-standard contract can all change your actual figures. For anything that matters — a real redundancy, a property purchase, a pension decision — check with HMRC, ACAS, a solicitor or a qualified adviser first.

We do our best to keep the rates and formulas current and correct, but we can't guarantee accuracy, and we're not liable for decisions made based on these calculators. Statutory rates change, most often in April — always check the figure against an official source (GOV.UK or ACAS) if the outcome is significant.
